Dalloway Terrace – a dreamy elegant al-fresco brunch hotspot

My love for alfresco dining and having the feeling of being on holiday in your own hometown.

As the cooler months approach I’ve been making the most of these summer days here in London. Last weekend my friend and I spent a lovely afternoon together, a post birthday celebration doing what we love.. shopping, eating, chatting, laughing and sipping fizz between Selfridges & Dalloway Terrace.

The dreamy, elegant al-fresco atmosphere & setting is the highlight of this outdoor restaurant, I feel I should have shared it earlier this summer with my fellow alfresco dining fans but actually whatever the weather the ‘outdoor terrace’ works perfectly, with its retractable roof, heaters and blankets draped on every chair, fluffy pillows, you’ll certainly be very comfortable. I loved being surrounded by these autumn colours and can’t wait to re-visit to check out what the winter theme will be.

It’s in the heart of the historical and vibrant area of Bloomsbury an area well known for being London’s literary heartland, and is named after the eponymous character created by Virginia Woolf, an author whose name will forever be associated with Bloomsbury.

For me it’s the perfect brunchspot before or during my retail therapy days 😉 great for girlie catchups, breakfast or lunch with hubby between meetings, I’ll happily fill the slot!

Let’s talk about the food!

You’re spoilt for choice with tempting options suitable for most dietary requirements, from rainbow acai bowls, pancakes, smoked salmon, eggs cooked so many ways, to crab on toast the list goes on! My fix of avocado on toast or shakshuka always hits the spot. I know it’s something I make for my guests at my brunches all the time but it’s great to have it made & served to you once in a while.

Then there’s the pairing of cocktails & drinks to go with, the creative cocktails are a must-try with an interesting mix of classics with new modern twists, There’s a cocktail to suit every taste & if your watching calories like me then there’s always Prosecco!

So if your looking for that perfect brunch spot try Dalloway Terrace, it really does have the full package and gives you a great experience of how brunch is done!

Doors open 7am for breakfast and at weekends brunch is served between 10-4pm

You won’t regret the visit..
