I only just made it to this year’s summer roof garden pop up at John Lewis & I absolutely loved it, in fact I think it’s my favourite there so far. It’s a quiet oasis away from the madness of Oxford street.
Roof Fest London isn’t about the view for me, it’s more of an experience… there’s a fabulous flowery festival theme at the moment and with the sun shining it was a perfect spot to stop for late lunch & a catch up with a friend.
We could have happily chilled there all evening.. there was a buzz in the air, music in the background, drinks flowing… the sun really does make us Londoners happy! It has numerous little huts, nooks & bookable dens for those guests who prefer a little privacy…
Let’s talk about the Filipino inspired street food from Bong Bongs Manila Kanteen! A small menu but those little plates bursting with so much fresh flavour, leaving you wanting more…
For the vegetarians, the cauliflower is a must to try!!! I know cauliflower isn’t for all but this dish here was beyond amazing that I’m 100% sure it will convert you if you’re not a fan.
Another dish that blew me away was the mussels in a green curry sauce, with an abundance of fresh zingy flavours perfectly paired for my palette.
Each dish that was coming from the kitchen looked amazing and I’ll definitely be going back.
The cocktails courtesy of Background Bars & my favourite this summer has to be the cucumber based ‘summer of love’.
Overall a cool & reasonably priced spot to relax and kick back any time of the day…
It definitely has my thumbs up!
