MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON TEA AT HOME

This has been a tough time for everyone and I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since the first lockdown. I’ve been missing hosting supper clubs and doing what I enjoy – sharing my food creations!

Since I can’t have you around my table right now, I thought I’d send across some flavours from my home to yours in the form of Sweet and Savoury Afternoon Tea Boxes.

Really there’s no better way to bring a smile to someone’s face than a kind gesture ( and a day off from the kitchen) I’m sure most of you will agree!

Treat mum, ( or dad who’s taking on mum’s role, mother figures, mum in law, grandma, wife, a single mum or even yourself) to an afternoon tea with some classic and some new flavour combinations. My boxes make the perfect gift, freshly made on the day, packed & ready for collection.

All you’ll need to do to create an ‘Afternoon Tea Party’ with a little Panache is follow my easy steps below for table setting inspiration, transfer the sweet and savory delights to platters of your choice and serve with a pot of tea or a glass of fizz and an abundance of love.

Step 1. Cover the table with a crisp white tablecloth

Step 2. Add a runner in the center if you have

Step 3. Set a charger or placemat at each seat.

Step 4. Layer your crockery in the center of each setting

Step 5. Place a cloth napkin to the right of charger or like I’ve done on the center of the plates with a flower or even a personal note or card

Step 6. Cutlery to the right as there’s not much required

Step 7. Tea cups and glasses to the right too

Step 8. Use assorted platters and cake stands to serve the food

Step 9. Add a few candles and flowers (fresh or artificial) amongst the platters

So that’s the menu… If it appeals, the image below tells you how you can place and confirm your order.

On this occasion I’m collaborating & introducing a young talented baker Trisha Patel who discovered her passion for baking during lockdown… she specialises in cupcakes & my favorite are her lemon ones which I’m including in my sweet box for you all to try, I’m sure it will leave you wanting more, check out her Instagram page @trishasheavenlybakes

There’s still so many people struggling around us, so I’ve decided to donate a percentage of the profit to Great Ormond Street Hospital, a charity very close to my heart.

We now have a glimmer of hope and hopefully soon I’ll be able to see many of you again, sharing food, laughter and creating memories.

Till then stay safe and keep well 💕
