People love the weekends and the one thing we all look forward to is being able to enjoy time with our friends and family or have a great night out, relax or just have time for ourselves. Eating alone is sometimes a way of life for people, at work, when you are busy with different schedules from everyone….Food is something that can bring us all together!
Food and taste palettes are a very individual thing and when hosting supper clubs it’s always on my mind…. will I be able to please all and to get the balance of flavours that will suit a group of people with individual preferences and it’s not often easy and within my control. But the one thing I can do is ensure the ambience is perfect for the crowd. I love to create informal settings which provide a feeling of warmth and comfort. I want people to feel comfortable in my home..
I hosted an intimate supper for some friends and a mix of individuals from different backgrounds, the common factor was food but as we all sat around the table and conversed we discovered more and more familiarities / common ground, we had fun and laughter exchanging stories. By the end of the evening we had each made new friends. And the food was obviously a luxury bonus!
Supper Clubs are on the rise, they are a NEW concept to a lot of people and I encourage people to give it a try. If you are unsure take a look at my past images of supper clubs to see what it’s all about on my Instagram or Facebook. You definitely would not be able to have this type of evening in a restaurant and I cannot explain it but I do know once you have tried it you will not regret it.
As a person I am a socialite and bringing people together from all walks of life whilst enjoying my creative food was one of my main aims and as I host more and more suppers I see myself achieving this passion with people feeling more confident in dining as individuals alongside other guests.
