Banana Oats & Coffee Smoothie!

Breakfast is the most important part of the day to get a good strong start. Sometimes you just need a quick fix before or after a workout. Breakfast on the go is becoming a thing these days with so much going on in my life but I do make time even if just for a smoothie to go. Slow release energy ingredients are the best to keep you going for a long day of work or running around after the kids, sometimes the day goes by so quickly I forget to actually take a break and have lunch!

This may sound like a weird combo for some, but trust me the flavours actually work… The temperature of the smoothie is just perfect and enough to warm you up when you are in a hurry and don’t want to wait for your porridge to cool down. My version of a delicious drinkable porridge!

Perfect for the winter months approaching, not too sweet and not bland. You don’t need many ingredients and the best bit is that it’s simple and not time consuming to make.

Ingredients

1 banana (fresh or frozen)
200 ml milk almond or skimmed
15g of oats
A pinch of ground cardoman
An expresso shot single or double it’s your preference

Method

Simple just blitz till you get a smooth consistency! You can drink it straight away , or in the summer months just add a little crushed ice, It gives you the feeling your drinking a morning cocktail.
